Having so much fun with this lettering project! Here are more of my Inktober Lettering creations since I showed you the first ones.
Inktober is a movement for the month of October, to encourage artists to ink something every day. Julie Fei-Fan Balzer started doing a lettering version for herself last year, and I hopped on it this year.
I love creative lettering — letters and words are often featured in my random doodling.
Finding sayings or thoughts each day is a fun exercise. There are so many worthy and meaningful quotations out there!
Part journal, part inspiration, part learning exercise — it’s all good!
You might notice I haven’t exactly accomplished the “daily” goal, but I have not given up because of that. Just too much fun!
I particularly like this tidbit from one of the quotes above; if you know a bit about me and Sam, you’ll get the inside joke.
Hope you enjoyed this peek into my little art journal…

Diane Johnston - Hi Gail, Very nice work. I like your whimsical style. I never got into doodling, but I enjoy looking at others playing with letters.10.15.2015 – 11:32pm
