I decided a few weeks ago to participate in my second-ever scrapbooking swap. A small group of internet friends and I made each other a set of pages for a 6″ x 6″ mini-album. Today I bring you tiny glimpses of what I made in this sneak peek!
Making six copies of the same design presents some interesting dilemmas, which I probably discussed back when I did my first swap, a Christmas Tag-themed exchange. Mainly, you don’t typically pre-purchase paper and embellishments in quantities to supply that many identical projects. Typically! But thank goodness I had a few exceptions, and the opportunity to shop at a couple great papercrafting stores after signing up!
At one of those stores, StampaDoodle in Bellingham WA, I got some good advice and suggestions as well as most of the paper I used. Thanks, StampaDoodle! (See you again in a couple weeks.) I also ran across the adorable hand-crocheted hearts at the gift shop which supports the LaConnor Quilt Museum on that same road trip.
After the swap pages have made their way to our swap coordinator (my good e-friend Denise) and after she ships one set of each back to all of us participants, and after we each receive them, THEN I will be free to show you my whole project.
For now, this sneak peek is breaking enough rules! I warned my swap-buddies not to visit the blog until Sam puts her next post up later this week … I wonder if any will actually come take a peek? We will never know!
