Have you see this kind of doodle before? After Zentangling came Zenspirations, an adaptation by Joanne Fink. Then she came up with these fantastic “dangles” and all their related shapes and techniques!
I love them. You can probably tell by how many pictures I took.
This was my first effort, so be forgiving. Of course, you start with just the black on white drawing. The hard part.
I have to admit to being scared to start. I’m not much of a sketcher; ususally I develop ideas in my head. But I sketched this one out! After getting all the parts where I wanted them in my sketches, I moved onto my actual project.
I purchased a cute little calendar, “Create Your Own Calendar” by Paper Accents when Sam and I made a stop at Artco last week. I also picked up Joanne Fink’s book, “Zenspiration Dangle Designs.”
I had a spot with no calendar that really needed one. When a certain spot has had a calendar for the last few years, you get used to glancing over at it. Especially when your memory is as terrible as mine, the spot is in your bathroom, and you need it to remind you just what day it is every morning!
I thought there was no better style than the heart-laden Zenspirations Dangles for February’s picture. I love hearts :) so this was just perfect. Having the book to copy be inspired by was also perfect.
I’m really looking forward to more Zenspiration Dangling! Doodling is one of my favorite ways to waste time artistic endeavors!
