As always our Wordless posts are really… well, MOSTLY wordless (especially in comparison to the number of photos in this post…) ;) We are chatty ladies after all, it’s hard for us to not write a bunch :)
Although Mom has shared this dress project here and here, I made her keep the original inspiration under wraps until everything was done. I think I was just nervous that this crazy whimsical vision I had for my maternity shoot wouldn’t work out quite like I thought. I mean, I was trying to have Mom take an off-the-rack dress and turn it into something similar to this crazy expensive wedding dress… plus make room for the baby bump in a way that looked like it made sense. And somehow… between Mom’s expert sewing and our photographer, the amazing Heather B. Allison… it all came together even better than I could’ve imagined.
Mom will be back on Friday to wrap up her side of this massive dress project she took on for me, but until then, here are some of the photos that Heather took for us in the beautiful evening sun… our whimsical maternity shoot to celebrate our little lady!
And of course we had to do a few shots in a more casual outfit at the end… because as much as I LOVE how that dress turned out… on a daily basis… it’s all jeans and tees for us ;)
All in all, I can’t wait to get some of these maternity photos printed and hung in Skittle’s nursery along with newborn photos I’ll take of her once she arrives! HOPEFULLY any day now!!! hint, hint…
