HEY! WARNING! If you don’t want to see any photos of spiders, up close and personal… do not, I repeat, DO NOT scroll past the next photo.
Just thought I’d throw out a warning in case you didn’t want to get the heebie-jeebies. Because honestly, some of the photos were creeping me out more after I edited them than when I was actually taking the photos!
Me and Spider got a little close, but thankfully the lens I was using has to focus from at least a foot a way, so I didn’t have to get that close. Phew!
There was only that one instant when I accidentally touched one of the web pieces and Spider decided it was a good time to descend. quickly. in my direction. I may or may not have screamed a little.
But as long as they are not INSIDE my house I try not to squish them.
I actually love the look of spider webs, and this time of year you can find them in plenty! I had like 30 attached to my house to choose from when I took the camera outside today. But this guy had the best web, there were even a couple little gnats attached (do you see them?).
I was going for dark and moody. Super contrast with a matte finish. Which is typically something I don’t gravitate toward when I shoot or edit. I like light and bright!
So Spiders = Fall, and moody photos = Challenge, hence Fall Challenge in the Photography Category complete!
(I put all the writing up here so you could read it even if you didn’t scroll)
So… scroll if you dare! ;)
