So, you know, I don’t claim to be any kind of artist. But I do have a sketchbook where I doodle.
And since I recently picked up some Sharpie pens — not the normal markers — I wanted to give them a whirl. I had some ideas running around in my head for doodles that could become stitching.
Take #2 on three of them…
And my son has been encouraging me, for the sake of my creative ideas, to sketch stuff. We’ve had many conversations about how, if you are wanting to actually USE something as a tool with ease, you need to be very familiar with it. And so I’ve begun sketching a tiny bit now and then.
I agree with him. It just feels foreign to draw things for the sake of just drawing them! Told you I wasn’t really an artist ;)
