Pin-spiration: So Let’s Talk About Fall…

Fall

So let’s talk about Fall.  Mmmm, fall!  Warm soups, pumpkin everything, jeans and boots and sweaters, and did I mention everything pumpkin?

Unlike Mom, I truly LOVE fall!  I’ve been to known to say it is my favorite season!  (I’ve also been known to say the same thing about spring, that just depends on what time of year we are in)  ;)

Like Mom mentioned yesterday and in the “Back To…” post, fall feels like another set of fresh starts!  Although no longer ruled by the school calendar (only a year or two until I start that again with my own kiddos, yikes!), I still get that itch to hunker down, start something new, and settle into a routine!

And just like this motivational quote I came across recently, my goal for this new season is to live more intentionally!  Choosing productivity over just “busy”, choosing creating over facebooking, choosing rest over mindless distraction, choosing activities that feed my soul instead of ones that drain it.  My photography business has been the busiest it has ever been these first few months having two kiddos… and frankly if I can handle that, with what I know was a lot of needless procrastination, then I know I still have a lot of growth and potential left in me!  I want to see what I can really do if I set my mind to it.

SO, fall with intention means: More whole home cooked foods, more of creating a beautiful space to thrive in, more living in the moment… just more!

And after a few months of really hit and MISS blog posting, to get the creative juices flowing again I’ve been going Pinterest crazy! Here are a few Pin-spirations that have further inspired my Fall LOVE…

Pumpkin Spice Honey CookiesOk, do I really have to say much more about this one?  I think it is pretty self-explanatory… Soft and Puffy Pumpkin Spice Honey Cookies.  Um, yeah.  Sold.

And because that isn’t enough… hello, we obviously need even more pumpkin in our lives this time of year… let’s just go ahead and add these to our baking list: Pumpkin Snickerdoodle Cookie Bars with Pumpkin Buttercream Frosting

Hey look!  Breakfast Pumpkin!  Oatmeal To-Go Pumpkin Muffins!

And, well… now that we’ve eaten our weight in pumpkin goodies we can move onto the main course? (Maybe that is backward, but, ahem… pumpkin everything)

Sweet Potato Quinoa Soup

How about we start with this Sweet Potato, Chicken, and Quinoa Soup!  Yeah, yum.  I haven’t even tried it yet and I can tell it is going to get added to the fall rotation.

I think this Tuscan Bean Soup will definitely be on the list too!

And when I’m ready for something a little more non-traditional?  I’m going for this Red Lentil Coconut Soup!

Now that my belly is warm and happy, let’s cozy up for some crafting…

Felt LeavesI’m not going to lie… I’m positively giddy over these felt leaves!  On burlap?!  In hoops?!  I feel like this is classic craft turned trendy, and I want in!

Speaking of classic turned trendy, I also want in on the ombre pinecones in this awesome collection of crafts you’ll FALL for!  <– ha, get it?  not my pun, but definitely worthy of sharing again ;)

And then I just get lost in crafty ideas… DIY Wreaths, and Leafy Mason Jar Candle Holders, and Mason Jar Pumpkins, and Distressed Pumpkin Decor… you do remember I said “pumpkin everything” right?

Fall Fashion

And last but definitely not least, can we just take a moment to bask in the glory that is fall fashion.  I’m talking boots and jackets and scarves, and all things comfy and cozy and <hopefully> chic!  (I say hopefully, because I feel like if I’m rocking skinny jeans and boots with some sort of jacket or scarf, I’m generally pretty put together… and that is a win when some days with these tiny girls of mine I don’t even get a shower, ha.)

And with all that, I’m SO totally amped for Fall!  Bring on the cooler weather and all that comes with it!  Can’t wait to try some of the recipes and crafts I’ve been pinning madly!  What in the world do I choose first?!

Sam
