I don’t think I’ve ever gotten up intentionally at sunrise to take a walk and some photos. Especially not after going to bed 3 hours before sunrise….
But that is what three friends and I decided to do at the ocean last weekend. And I am SO glad we did.
The ocean air smelled so good, and the sun coming up over the dunes was just rosy and golden and gorgeous.
SO. FREAKIN. GORGEOUS.
The long morning shadows made for some great texture contrast, and I had a really good time just playing with my camera. No matter how much I love my job, sometimes I forget to get out of my comfort zone and just experiment with other types of photos too.
(and of course I had to take one photo of the Jelly Bean bump… it was her first time at the beach so it needed to be documented!)
There is just something about the top photo and this bottom one that really warm my creative soul a bit. I think I should get one printed soon… photos aren’t allowed to get buried on computers! :)
