I put pen to paper and out came all these flowers.I’m not sure where they came from…
I’m not really ready for spring — there hasn’t been any snow this winter, and I need me some snow!
My subconscious mind must have given up on winter already, I guess
When I started to fill in the background areas, Zentangle style, I wished the flowers had arranged themselves a bit more nicely on the page.
Overall, this is not really a good composition or a pretty picture. I didn’t even pay much attention to a color scheme. Well, except for not using the orange that kept coming to mind; couldn’t get happy with that idea.
But this piece is exactly what it was meant to be …
… a slow, mindless yet absorbing, semi-creative, free-spirited activity to wake up my slumbering creativity.
I feel better! Doodling is good for you — do some. You don’t have to be good at it. Who is good at something when they first start?
