So on Monday Mom posted about a scrapbook challenge… basically a daily little page with some sort of journaling about each day in December.
Originally I told her I didn’t think I had enough brain power to get myself organized (a day late as it already was) and follow through. But by that evening I had changed my mind and started by setting aside a limited amount of Christmas scrapbook paper and stickers, and one traveling tote full of ALL other supplies. This just helped my brain get over that organization hump, and focused my energies a little.
I also had to give myself a little pep talk ahead of time too… something along the lines of: This is for you and your family, if it isn’t perfect and elaborate that is ok. Your handwriting is fine, get over it, you are capturing memories here… the personal touch will actually be better. :)
So with that in mind… I jumped in and am actually caught up through yesterday!
Notice those little puzzle pieces?? Aren’t they adorable?! I found that package of pieces, all Christmas themed, and there’s just more than the days in December… so there is definitely going to be a puzzle piece on each page! I love that it will tie them together just a little bit from day to day!
Oh, and that half-inch strip on the side of each page will be where they all get bound together at the end of the month to make a little book! :)
Also… this little turkey apparently wanted to join me at (ahem, on) the dining room table where I was working…
It took her less than 20 seconds, the time it took me to walk down the hall, grab a memory card off my desk, and walk back. Oi, this girl.
Maybe this will be our captured memory for today’s Daily December page… HA.
