That’s right, I said it… Breakfast! Blueberry Crisp for Breakfast!
I’m sure either Mom or I’ve said it before… but oats and fruits… totally breakfast material!
Alongside a steamy cup of coffee… SOLD. To the highest bidder.
…or earliest riser is more like it. ;)

I followed this recipe for Blueberry Crisp for Two. Although I will say, the topping made enough for three at least, so I quickly doctored up some additional blueberries and made a baby sized one for Abbi (not pictured).
But she has to wait for hers (she’s just starting to wake up for good this morning, thank goodness). Aaron and I got to eat ours in relative solitude this morning… just the dog’s company. And after a few “no’s” to his begging he relented and went back to bed too.
I don’t make breakfast for us very often. (I’m not the wife who gets up and makes breakfast and lunch for the husband everyday… sorry honey, you know where the cereal and milk is… i’m usually still sleeping) ;)
But it’s a nice treat on occasion to start our day off together. Especially on a friday. After a few weeks of go-go-go. :)
And this was the perfect way to do it!
