Taaaa-Daaaa! I get to reveal the results of our Christmas Gift Tag Challenge for my post today! So there’s one up there, and here’s the other below…
What do you think? Do you know who made which one? (you can likely tell from the photography LOL)
I LIKE ’em! Of course I like mine, and of course I like Sam’s, but together I think they reflect some of who we are: get creative, have strong traditional influences, but let some ready-made fun stuff do a bit of the work…
So this one is Sam’s!
She says she was inspired to go Classic Christmas, with presents under the tree when she found that red ribbon already tied all pretty. I think it’s really cute!
“Presents under the tree” is a line from the White Christmas song; I wonder if she realizes our family’s yearly tradition of watching the movie White Christmas together snuck into her project description ;)
The holly one’s mine!
Funny, because I almost went with a tree theme like Sam did, but when I saw the words Holly Jolly on a piece of Christmas paper, a holly theme won the day. It made it easy to incorporate the burlap that I’ve been planning the last few days.
Now I have that song stuck in my head, so I’ll share and leave you with its sentiment:
Have a holly, jolly Christmas;
It’s the best time of the year
I don’t know if there’ll be snow
but have a cup of cheer!
That “cup of cheer” is eggnog with fresh grated nutmeg on top for me! Cheers and Merry Christmas!
