For my birthday I got a Fitbit, which is basically a fancy pedometer, but I’m totally in love with it! In attempts to get to my 10,000 steps a day I’ve started going on walks with Abbi! It is super nice to break up my work day and spend some time in the fresh air.
But right now… that fresh air… is COLD air! The high this week is 35. BRRRRR. So Abbi needed a cozy hat that would stay on her head, and I made it a little big so it will definitely last for more than a month!

I might be a little biased, but hey… nobody can beat baby grins! I’m sure of it!
If you want to make your own I pretty much followed the directions for the penguin hat out of this crochet pattern book! I’d highly reccomend this book even for beginners, she does a great job explaining how to make your basic crochet beanie and then adding these cute things to make all sorts of animals!
Also… I can’t not show you outtakes… she’s cute even when she pouts!
oh… and penguins obviously taste good too! :D
