I know the official start of fall isn’t for a couple of weeks still, but after a rain filled week last week and leaves starting to fall off our big cottonwood trees it is certainly starting to feel that way!
Plus, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is back at Starbucks… that’s gotta count for something… especially for us Washington folks!
Oh… and football! It’s football season… and yes… this crafty lady loves me some football, and not just the snacks to accompany it! :D
All these fall things, and then to top it off, a friend visited on Saturday to meet miss Abbi, and she brought me some fresh-baked pumpkin bread! One bite and I was ready to pull out the skinny jeans, boots, and sweaters! Nevermind the fact that the rain disappeared and it’s back to the 80s and sunshine this week outside. I’m ready for fall!! And especially all things PUMPKIN!! (…and especially after I may have polished off that pumpkin bread already at 4am this morning when I was up to feed Abbi) ;)
So without further ado… a few pumpkin things that I’m looking forward to:
Pumpkin Cupcakes with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting… duh, pumpkin+cream cheese frosting?! Really anything with cream cheese frosting is a must…
… oh yeah… this one has cream cheese frosting in it too: Pumpkin Crunch Cake!
So I’ve covered decor, dessert and breakfast, so here are a couple of pasta recipes to round out the rest of the meals:
Bacon Pumpkin Pasta… despite Aaron’s lukewarm reception to main dish things with pumpkin in them, bacon included might convince him!
And maybe it’s time to break out my pasta maker from the depths of kitchen cabinet jail and try my hand at making Homemade Pumpkin Pasta with Brown Butter Sage Sauce!
