Fat Quarters

I’ve had my sewing machine for what, 3 months now?  But these fat quarters I just pulled out… I’ve had them for about 13 years or so.  HA!  But if you’ve read some of Mom’s sewing posts you can probably just come to the conclusion that fabric collecting runs in my genes… or that is how I’m going to justify it anyway.  :D

I was not very creative this weekend.  I did some cleaning instead, and worked on planning out our backyard that we are having re done.  BUT… I did not feel bad about that because this week…

…oh my, this is going to be one crafty week!

Tomorrow I’m hanging out with a crafty friend with the promise of soup making and other crafty adventures.

Wed night/Thursday I’ll be down with Mom, where we will be making doughnuts and she will be teaching me how to actually use my sewing machine and we are going to plan a new layout of her craft room.

(And I’ll also be stealing her bathtub ’cause it is big and nice and this pregnant lady REALLY wants a relaxing bath… I may or may not have planned my whole trip around taking said bath)  ;)

And Friday… it’s time to start painting the nursery!

So, like I said, I think my creative plate is pretty full for the week.

In prep for all that creativity, and more specifically learning to use my sewing machine I dug through my fabric stash and pulled out some spring time colored fat quarters!  Looking forward to making something simple and springy with them!  :)
