Lavender love… and green, and brown… because it’s rarely monochromatic around here!
I got my Cricut out to do some paper cutting for various projects. I put this little Valentine together for the goodie basket I got my guys — husband and son — for Valentine’s Day. My husband and I will be visiting Becca in Arizona over Valentine’s Day, so I thought a little at-home food basket love before I left would be fun.
I headed into World Market (aka Cost Plus in some parts of the country) and did a little shopping. Picked up some infrequent favorites, like Bundaberg Ginger Beer — brewed ginger ale from Australia: Sweet with a bite, and lots of ginger! Picked up some new curiousities, like Sriracha popcorn: savory with a bite, I am sure! They’ll love it as they’re both into all things spicy. Also a small jar of Raspberry Chipotle sauce which we will pour over cream cheese and have with chips and crackers.
And for myself, my go-to chocolate bar with almonds and sea salt in dark chocolate. Mmm-MMMM!
Technical details: Cricut cartridge was Simply Sweet. <heart1> cut from polka dots at 3 1/2″, <love> and <heart2> cut at 1 1/2″ from purple paper; <love> shadow and <heart1> shadow cut from textured cardstock at their corresponding sizes. Sepia Micron 05 pen for stitching lines. All paper from various DCWV stacks.
I backed this paper Valentine with another heart (which I wrote on), slid a skewer between those layers, and propped it between some of the goodies in the basket.
Happy Valentine’s Day, guys!
