Sam’s Top Posts of 2012!

Happy New Year’s Eve!  Can you believe it is about to be 2013?!  It’s going to be a pretty awesome year, of that I am sure, but 2012 was pretty awesome too!  I mean, I got to go to China, which was pretty dang cool!  But as we are nearing the end of 2012, I thought it might be fun to look back at some of my favorite posts I wrote this year.  We’ve only been live on this blog since the end of June, but it has been an awesome 6 months creating!  So here goes, one from each category…

The Paper Pile: Simple Little Flowers

Scrapbooking is one of my favorite hobbies in the ‘Paper Pile’ Category, and I loved creating these little flowers to use!  SO versatile and SO easy to make!

The Craft Room: Boo!

2012 was one of the first years I really started to decorate my home for the holidays!  I loved making this Boo sign for my living room around Halloween!  I still can’t get over the cute little twine spider webs!

The Studio: Kitchen Prints

I had so much fun creating these Kitchen Prints!  (And yet I still haven’t gotten any printed to hang in my kitchen… new years resolution for sure!)  Make sure you go back to this post if you want instructions on how to create your own Kitchen Prints!!

Yarn & Yardage: Crochet Slippers!

This was, by FAR, the most popular of my posts!  It exploded on Pinterest and we’ve loved the traffic it has created for our little blog!  While I am not a crochet expert, I had so much fun creating these slippers and answering your questions on how to create your own!  Look for another post on these soon!  Because I’ve gotten so many questions on how to make these, Mom and I are rewriting the pattern with my changes so hopefully it is easier for you to make your own!

Eat Drink & Dessert: Iced Tea 4 Ways

It was hard for me to just pick one in this category because I love experimenting with food and drinks!  But I went back to my very first post on this blog because I truly had SO much fun creating these little ways to mix up your iced tea!  It could also be that I am already pining for summer time…

House & Home: Bathroom Makeover

This was the absolute biggest project I tackled this year!  Re-doing the bathroom while my hubby was gone on a trip was a lot of fun and a lot of work!  Still so thankful to my family who helped me complete this transformation of this little space in our home in record time!

Life & Style: Cute & Informative Tag

I didn’t do a ton of Life&Style posts this year, but I thought this one was such a great idea I had to bring it up again!  I created this cute but informative tag for a friend of mine and her son who has some severe food allergies!  She got it laminated to attach to her diaper bag and even him when leaving him in others’ care.

And that concludes my top posts of 2012!!  Can’t wait 2 create lots more goodies for you next year!  Have a wonderful and safe time celebrating tonight!!
