On Monday I introduced my new sewing machine, well today… I HAD to play with it! I didn’t have a lot of time, but I felt like I at least needed to use it once before I could go on with my week. So I grabbed a fat quarter, a little thread, and plugged in my new toy! As the title to this post suggests… it’s my sewing skills that are the work in progress! ;)
I did not adjust any settings, I just wanted to play for ten minutes. :) So I cut out a rectangle and made a little 3 inch envelope. :)
My cutting was uneven, I was using my hair straightener as a mini iron, and I only have thread on bobbins… so this was the epitome of just playing around. ;)
But I had fun! And despite my lack of sewing skills, I think my little envelope is pretty cute! Now to actually read the manual and make a real project…
