It Is Finished!
It’s not yet December (barely), so I am counting this as a win! My goal was to have my fall wallhanging finished and on my wall, this fall.
Of course, I left my own western Washington walls in mid-November to come to Becca’s walls in Arizona … oh well!
So I can’t actually put this quilt on my wall this year. But next year, my 13-years-in-the-making fall wallhanging will be displayed!
You’ll see that my troublesome spot on the left, midway down (and lower right in the collage) — I couldn’t figure out how to deal with this amount of leftover space — ended up working out just fine with the button embellishment. “Just fine” is my opinion, anyway, and since I’m the one that’s going to be looking at this, that’s what counts :)
I find that I have plenty of room for improvement in my machine quilting skills, and probably my quilt basting as well. Practice, practice, practice! So nice that practicing is terrific fun!
