Here’s another small and travel-able creative activity… Word Art! (If you’ve been reading the last few weeks Mom and I have both been traveling!) I took to the good ol’ pen and paper during my China travels and here are the results: words to describe this amazing place and my new experiences here. :)
Started with my title: China, and then just stared adding words and doodles in varying fonts and shapes and directions, eventually defining a border. Red is very signifant in China, symbolizing good fortune and happiness and courage and so much more. For that reason I chose to stick with black and red for my word art.
The finished piece! I love how it turned out and am thinking of incorporating it into some sort of shadowbox art for my home to symbolize my trip!
A few highlights of our trip: The Great Wall, the Forbidden City, spicy and delicious food, lots of honking and traffic, beautiful city squares and fancy cars, construction everywhere, temples and lights and bamboo and the hot and humid weather.
I can’t wait to share some photos and stories, but I need some time to cull through the ~1000 photos I have. :)
