Better late than never? 2pm post instead of 2am post? I have been looking forward to sharing this creative project with you but didn’t anticipate the variety of challenges it takes to blog while travelling!
Now that I’m not being constantly jostled in the car on my road trip, I can work on another of the projects I brought. This 39 Squares project really caught my eye last year. I’ve thought about doing something like it ever since. It occurred to me that it would be a great way to memorialize our trip. I’ll be doing a square for every day I am away from home.
Turns out there are parts of this trip I will NOT be mentioning in stitching – Becca and I have had some… hmm… shall we say, adventures? However, doing these little motifs one at a time is pretty fun and easy – no patterns, just pure creativity limited only by the 1 ½” squares I’ve chosen, and the colors of the various threads I brought with me.
